Meet Roxanne
I met Roxanne! It seems universities enjoy giving their vehicles female names.
I’m very grateful to Ellis for inviting me along, it was great working with Ellis and Tarrant. Ellis did great work designing a board to connect all voltage and temperature sensors to the battery pack. Assembling the battery packs using custom 3D printed parts went very well.
The aim of this vehicle is somewhat different to Violet we met in my last post. While Violet was all about efficiency over long distances, Roxanne was more about delivering speed. The battery packs therefore were also different. Violet used lithium cells that maximised energy while Roxanne used cells that could deliver power.
I’m looking forward to working with more teams in the future.
