Transcontinental 2018: Violet

Last year I was involved in supplying batteries for and scrutinising the World Record attempt to cross Australia from Perth to Sydney using the least amount of energy.

The result? 3993km travelled using 3.33kW per 100km. A fantastic effort by the Sunswift team at the University of New South Wales.

The battery pack was a 56P35S Lithium arrangement which is a total of 126V 193Ah 24.3kWh. That is a lot of energy with all of the inherent dangers if not managed correctly.
